Perception Radius Organic Cotton Sweatshirt — French Navy

A minimal study of spatial awareness and environmental sensing across rare and endangered species.

Perception Radius explores how organisms detect and interpret surrounding space through distributed sensory signals, reflecting attention, range, and adaptive awareness beyond immediate visibility.

Made from 100% organic combed ring-spun cotton (350 g/m²), this structured heavyweight sweatshirt offers warmth, durability, and a refined regular silhouette.

The ash grey artwork appears subtly across the upper back against the French Navy base.

About the garment

A considered layer built from certified organic cotton for everyday wear across seasons.

Constructed using 100% organic combed ring-spun cotton, the fabric carries a substantial 350 g/m² weight — providing warmth, durability, and a structured drape while maintaining breathability. The brushed interior offers a soft hand feel, while the outer surface remains clean, dense, and refined.

Designed with restraint, the garment prioritizes longevity, comfort, and everyday versatility.

Design & concept

Perception Radius reflects a survival system observed across many species — the ability to detect, interpret, and respond to surrounding space before direct interaction occurs.

Animals do not depend on sight alone. Sound, vibration, pressure changes, scent, spatial memory, and other environmental signals allow them to understand movement, distance, direction, and potential risk beyond what is immediately visible.

The artwork translates this sensory awareness into a minimal field of distributed directional elements.

Rather than forming a complete shape:

• signals remain separated across space
• density shifts suggest changing zones of attention
• isolated elements represent information detected at greater distances
• directional variation reflects interpretation rather than fixed focus

The composition avoids a defined centre, allowing awareness to emerge through the relationship between signals rather than from a single viewpoint.

Areas of concentration and dispersion create an open perception field — active, adaptive, and continuously receiving information from the surrounding environment.

Placed across the upper back, the artwork extends through space while the front remains intentionally unmarked. This restrained placement expresses perception as an invisible system operating beyond direct observation.

System Insight

PERCEPTION RADIUS

Spatial Awareness — Sensory Detection System

A minimal system exploring how organisms perceive space beyond direct visibility.

Across natural systems, survival depends not only on movement or concealment, but also on the ability to detect environmental information before taking action.

Sound, vibration, pressure, spatial memory, scent, and surrounding environmental cues contribute to a continuously changing field of awareness.

This artwork translates that principle into a distributed system of directional signals.

No single element defines the composition.

Signals emerge across space.
Density suggests attention.
Distance implies range.
Variation reflects interpretation.

The artwork represents perception as an active field rather than a fixed viewpoint.

An observation of survival through awareness — adaptive, responsive, and deeply embedded in natural intelligence.

Design & fit

Cut in a regular unisex fit, the silhouette remains structured yet non-restrictive.

• Regular unisex fit
